Tablescape Commissions:
a portrat of you through your crowded tabletop
Commissions
Thank you for your interest in commissioning a custom painting! My paintings are designed to celebrate you through my style of joyful crowded tablescapes. You can find everything you need to know about commissions on this page.
I accept a limited number of commissions on a rolling basis, based on artistic fit and studio availability. The process begins by filling out an brief inquiry form. While submission does not automatically guarantee placement, every request is read thoughtfully. If my schedule is full, you may be offered placement on a waitlist for a future opening. I would love to hear your ideas! Please fill out the form below and include details about a moment, memory, or the special objects that you would like captured in your painting.
I am honored that you trust me to bring your vision to life, and I cannot wait to work with you!

What I paint:
In my current creative practice, I am focusing on crowded, joyful, and colorful tablescapes. I view these paintings as a visual portrait of you: a crowded table full of things that tell your story. Each painting weaves together meaningful elements like favorite dishes, knick-knacks, heirloom items, hobbies, and everyday objects, into a celebratory still life.
A tablescape commission begins with your story and is shaped through my artistic voice. I interpret every narrative through layering, abstraction, and intuitive mark-making, allowing the final painting to emerge organically. Clients drawn to this work value collaboration, trust the creative process, and are open to surprise.
These paintings are created to honor milestones, commemorate loved ones, or bring warmth and personality your home. Tablesccape portraits are a visual archive of you through the things you hold dear. The result is a statement painting alive with memory and meaning, designed to live with you for years!
If this approach resonates with you, I’d love to hear your story.
The Process
Most commissions follow the process outlined below, designed to keep the experience collaborative, clear, and enjoyable.
Inquiry
The process begins with an written inquiry describing your vision, preferred size, and the story or objects you hope to capture. If your project feels like a good fit, I’ll invite you to move forward and ask you to share reference images and notes about meaningful objects before our consultation.
Consultation
After reviewing your materials, we schedule a call to discuss your story, objects, color palette, and the emotional tone of the painting. This conversation helps shape the creative direction of the piece. An initial consultation costs $150 and is credited toward your final invoice.
Sketch Development
Using your references and our consultation, I create 2–3 preliminary sketches exploring composition and color direction. Sketches are loose visual guides. We review the sketches together (via call or email), finalize the plan, and approve the design.
A 50% deposit is due at this stage to secure your commission and place in my schedule.
Painting
Now the fun begins! Once approved, I begin work on canvas. The painting phase typically takes several weeks, depending on size and complexity.
Progress Checkpoint
When the acrylic structure is complete, I share progress images for a final checkpoint. Small adjustments may be requested at this stage, but major compositional changes are no longer possible. After approval, I apply the final oil stick layers and complete the painting

Additional Information
Materials
I create my paintings with acrylic paint and oil sticks on stretched canvas.
Pricing
Pricing is based on the size of the canvas and the complexity of your requested details.
Commission prices are typically higher than available works to reflect their custom, collaborative nature.
Pricing does not include framing or shipping.
Prices listed on the inquiry form are general starting points and may vary depending on the scope of the project.
Framing
Paintings are delivered unframed.
I’m happy to recommend framing options that complement the work and your space.
Shipping
The client is responsible for shipping costs, which vary by location and are calculated separately.
Shipping estimates can be discussed before the painting begins.
All work is carefully packaged, insured, and shipped with tracking. In the rare event of shipping damage, I will assist in filing an insurance claim.
Deposits & Payment
A 50% deposit secures your commission and place in my schedule.
The remaining balance is due upon completion and prior to shipping.
Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun, as materials and studio time are reserved specifically for your project.
Client approval at each stage confirms acceptance of that phase of the process.
Updates & Revisions
Commissions are collaborative, and the sketch phase is the primary space for feedback and refinement.
Each commission includes one round of minor revisions to the preliminary sketches. Additional revisions or major redesigns may require an additional fee.
Once painting on canvas has begun, only small adjustments can be made. Major compositional changes are not possible after this stage. After the final layers are completed, revisions are no longer available.
I share progress updates at key checkpoints. Because I work intuitively, ongoing or daily revision requests are not part of the commission workflow.
Turnaround Time
After the initial consultation and sketch approval, commissions typically take 4–8 weeks to complete, depending on size and studio schedule.
Please allow an additional curing period of approximately 4 weeks to ensure the oil stick layers are fully dry before safe delivery.
Timelines are estimates, not guarantees.
If you have timeline goals or special circumstances, I’m happy to discuss them!
Color Variation Disclaimer
Colors may vary slightly between digital previews and the final artwork due to screen differences and the nature of hand-painted materials.
Creative License & Copyright/Exhibition Rights
Commissions are interpretive works created in my signature style. While your story guides the piece, the final painting reflects my artistic judgment and intuition.
Prints are not available to commission.
While the physical painting belongs to the collector, I retain full copyright to all sketches and final artwork. I reserve the right to photograph and document commissioned work for portfolio, exhibition, publication, and promotional purposes.
The collector may not reproduce the image for personal or commercial use.
Cancellation
If a client chooses to cancel a commission after work has begun, the deposit is forfeited. Depending on the stage of completion, additional charges may apply to cover work already performed.
Cancelled commissions remain artist property.
Please let me know if you have any questions — I’m happy to help guide you through the process!
